πŸš€ Client Onboarding SOP – Part 1

What Happens After a Client Submits the Onboarding Form

This is your go-to guide for setting up new clients the right way. Every step here is critical to ensure a smooth, consistent experience.

βœ… STEP 1: Verify the Onboarding Worksheet

Ensure the onboarding form is fully filled out with:

  • Business Name, Phone, Address (NAP)
  • List of services and service areas
  • All login credentials (Gmail, Website, GBP, Domain, etc.)
  • Staff names and emails

πŸ“ STEP 2: Create the Client Folder Structure

Inside Google Drive β†’ All Clients, create a new folder using this format:

BusinessName_Assets

Then create the following subfolders:

  • Onboarding
  • Project Photos
  • Legal Documents

Upload the completed worksheet into the Onboarding folder.

πŸ—οΈ STEP 3: Set Up the Sub-Account in GoHighLevel

  1. Go to Sub-Accounts β†’ Create
  2. Input business info from the worksheet
  3. Load the snapshot: Home Services Snapshot
  4. Go to Settings β†’ Business Profile and add all details
  5. Under Team, add staff members as admins (info is in worksheet)

πŸ“ž STEP 4: Buy and Verify a Local Phone Number

  1. In the sub-account, go to Phone Numbers β†’ Buy Number
  2. Use the client’s area code (e.g., 330) to filter
  3. Set the number as default
  4. Link the number to the A2P campaign

Note: If A2P is not registered yet, refer to the separate A2P SOP.

🌐 STEP 5: WordPress Website Setup (If Applicable)

If the client has a WordPress site:

  1. Log into WP Admin
  2. Install and activate:
    • Site Kit by Google – for Search Console & Analytics
    • LeadConnector Plugin – for CRM site tracking
  3. Connect or create new accounts via Site Kit

πŸ“ STEP 6: Connect Google Business Profile (GBP)

Inside the sub-account, go to Google Business Integration and click Connect. Log in to the client’s GBP and ensure it syncs properly for:

  • Review syncing & responses
  • Reputation dashboard integration
